Ashanti Douglas, popularly called Ashanti was born in Glen Cove New York United States on the 13th of October, 1980. She is an American singer songwriter. Ashanti started her career in the teen years, she was signed by Murder Inc. Records by 2002. In the same year, she made an appearance as a guest on the Fat Joe's What's Luv? Ja Rule's song, Always on Time and Fat Joe's What's Luv? The first female artist to hold the first and second spots on the Billboard Hot 100 list in the United States with Foolish at the top spot and the track What's Luv? The song What's Luv! Tina Douglas is the mother of Ashanti and Ken Kaide Douglas is father. She is Kenashia's youngest sister. She played Latasha In Army Wives and starred in the film Christmas in the City. Aitch sampled Rock wit U in his Baby on March 10, 2022 song.
